The Kansas City Industrial Council (KCIC) recognized Clay & Bailey Manufacturing
as one of 12 winners of its annual Sustainability Awards. The KCIC Sustainability
Awards recognize sustainable business practices related to Energy and Environment.
Clay & Bailey was recognized in the Energy category for the large -scale LED retrofit
of our facilities. The LED retrofit encompasses several warehouses, office, assembly
and shipping areas. The expected savings over the life of the bulbs should exceed
$231,000. The LED project was the second major investment Clay & Bailey made in
reducing energy consumption and rolling out sustainable practices after installing
solar panels in 2013.
